Got, installed and played Fifa '09. I have one thing to say, nevermind the will-kill-your-graphic-card-with-detail video, the no-another-spree-of-dumbass-R&B-nobodies music and the slightly modified teams and tournaments... There's one thing that really got me WTFing.

Now, now, kids, what's this? Simplified controls and controlling the players with your mouse? EA just killed the only thing that was challenging in Fifa games. The fucked up controller setup. Ya know, it would be like giving a Resident Evil game good movement interface.

All joking aside, it was about fucking time they realized that no, normal humans don't have 37 fingers to press all the buttons you needed in the 07 and 08 versions. It was starting to look like a King Of Fighters game. You know what I mean, that game series where you have to press down, up, down, forwards, back, down, punch, kick and block, to make your character move forwards a bit. And then they wonder why SNK got butt-raped by Capcom and absorbed by it afterwards.

Also, now you can use your mouse's middle button to have your character do things the Captain Tsubasa crew would go WTF at. Second match I played, I pulled a sideways jumping overhead kick, which smashed into the goal post, but somehow fell right to where another of my strikers was, and then I pulled a sidewinder shot (freaking easier to give the ball effect now, seriously.) And later on I did the Rivaul turn, but almost lost the ball since I was WTFing at my own striker for doing that (not going to get what's so strange about that one unless you know CT.)

If they keep this up, they may make a challenging, good football game next year.
